Joo Ven said the physiotherapist was a part-timer who used to help them at the club. He did a physio session two weeks ago on Joo Ven’s left knee, which he said was injured. It became worse after the physio session. He had no choice but to withdraw from the Indonesia International Challenge. But he still wanted to try to compete in the Vietnam Open.

But he struggled to walk after a training session, so he was forced to concede a walkover as he didn’t want to aggravate the injury.

Joo Ven was relieved that the physiotherapist wouldn’t return to the club. He will be going for an MRI in Kuala Lumpur to learn more about the injury.

Joo Ven is now ranked No. 52 in the world and was hoping to improve his position by participating in the Vietnam Open and tournaments in Indonesia.

If his knee injury is not serious, he still hopes to participate in the Indonesia Masters. Joo Ven hopes to break into the top 30 by the end of this year. This will help him to avoid playing in the qualifying round of the super 500 tournaments.
